Jordan 1 OG Prototype; Drop Or Cop?

The unique and customisable sneaker kicks off Jordan's Fall drops. Here's our thoughts!

In the sneaker game, the Jordan 1 silhouette is the most popular there is. Michael Jordan's 1985 legacy has released in 100's of colourways, in low's and mid's, and as multiple collaborations. And the hype has never died down. Most recently it was Fragment, but the next shoe set to cause shockwaves across the sneakerverse is the OG Prototype.

At first glance it looks simple, right? A multi-colour construction has been done before. But to this sneaker, there's more than meets the eye. Following in the footsteps of the Jordan 1 High Switch, the Prototype can be customised into a low top! Let's take a deeper look.

The sneaker boasts a white leather base beneath light grey and sail suede overlays. White stitching adorns the black Swoosh and heel counter, while orange stitching wraps the contrasting blue perforated collar. More orange hits are seen on the tongue tag and in the mini Swoosh on the toebox.

As for the customisable feature? The perforated lines on the ankle flap allow the owner to 'chop' the sneaker to a low top, though the change is irreversible.

The iteration's unique, and the customisable addition is bound to intrigue the sneakerverse. The Jordan 1 OG Prototype is definitely a cop!
